Worlds Worst Blogger

I believe that it was a year ago almost to the day that Mary Zollinger declared to me that I might just be World's Worst Blogger? Well, I believe that I have lived up to the title most diligently. Today however I find myself with an unusual amount of uninterrupted time and a computer so. . . . . . .Yea, I am blogging. I thought I would post the lovely Halloween characters that live with me in an effort to actually post something. I will try to overcome the worst blogger stereotype and blog a little more frequently. No Promises!

Porter's impromptu transformers prologue

One day a couple of weeks ago we were at Michael's office and Porter was trying to "tell a transformer secret" to one of the girls there. Well, upon further investigation as to what this secret was Porter spouted off the above "speech" HELLO!!! Can you say too much TV? By the way I would like to point out the fact that he is allowed the EDITED version of this movie! Not the theatrical release. I'm not that irresponsible! Close though!

Cecily

It's hard to believe that Cecily is already 3 weeks and 3 days old! She is such a sweet baby. Thought I would update the photos because they change so fast. She has really gained weight this week, compared to the 2 week check at which time she weighed in at a whoppin' 6 pounds! As you can see from the picture of Beans and Cici. She is well loved. All the kids want to hold and hug her. It's fun to see. Enjoy!

Cecily at One Week

Cecily is doing great. We took her IV out on Tuesday and she is beginning to look like a "normal" newborn. All we have to do is get all those bruises and puncture marks healed. She is wonderful and I adore having a baby in the house. All the great smells and sounds make up for all the lousy fatigue. The kids love her to pieces but, have had to keep their distance since they are all sick. Thanks for all the prayer and support!

Cecily's NICU stay

The first few days of Cecily's life was emotional to say the least. She spent the first four and a half days in a NICU bed! We were so excited when we finally got to hold her for more than 5 minutes at a time!

Cecily Ann Johnson

Announcing the arrival of our much anticipated baby girl! She is so sweet and pretty little. She arrived on the 28th around 12:30pm. She weighed in at a whopping 5 lb 12 oz. She was a little stressed and bought herself a trip to the NICU. She's been a small pincushion and a brave little princess. Today she is doing better and will hopefully be completely off the oxygen soon. She will be on antibiotics for at least a week though. We thought maybe she caught wind of what awaited her at home and then opted to increase her stay here at the hospital! Seems sensible right? Only drawback is she has really upset the Queen. Even Prince Ollie was overly concerned and emotional with not being able to view her. We assured him that it would only be a little while longer and praying that we are right! Hope all is well with all of you!

Charlie Chaplin

Sawyer must have had some chapped skin above his lip that was hurting him. It's all I can really deduce. All I know is he was fine one minute and screaming the next. Not altogether that unusual. He insisted that he now had an "owee" and needed a band-aid. I tried to explain that band-aids don't really fit in that particular spot. Obviously to no avail. He finally got his way and a sweet purple band-aid, complete with antibiotic. He then proceeded to go about his business wearing the band-aid which he left on for an extrodinarily long amount of time. What did I learn from all this? Sawyer clearly knows best and that band-aids can and apparently are worn above the upper lip without any trouble whatsoever. So, the next time I find myself injured in that particular place I will not hesitate in applying on myself and sporting the Charlie Chaplin look!
